Harvest Bible Church Teen Philosophy

This is the philosophy of the Harvest Bible Church Teen Ministry. Foremost, the teen ministry runs in harmony with the mission and purpose of Harvest Bible Church. It is ultimately under the charge of the pastor and is an extension of the HBC ministry. Each family should realize that the teen ministry is not a replacement for the leadership and direction of the home, but a supplement to it.

• Salvation
  • Each teen would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ - 1 Peter 1:23
  • Repentive heart – Psalm 51:10
   
• Sanctification
  • Consistent devotions – 2 Timothy 2:15
  • Memorization of God’s Word – 2 Timothy 3:16
  • Sound Biblical foundation – Proverbs 3:5,6
  • Christian maturity – Proverbs 3:4; Phil 4:8
  • Personal development in Christian character – Galatians 5:22-23
  • Desire a close relationship to Jesus Christ – Galatians 2:20
  • Seeking God’s will for their life – Romans 12:1,2
• Service Oriented
  • Be a doer of God’s Word and not only a hearer – James 1:23
  • Seek for service opportunities – Galatians 6:7-10
  • Go the extra mile for others – Matthew 5:41
  • Use the God-given talents and abilities – Romans 12:5, 6a; Ephesians 4:7-12
• Separated Life
  • Be in the world but not of it – 1 John 2:15; Ephesians 5:11;6:11
