THE PARENTS’ COVENANT- I AM RESPONSIBLE

“I am responsible. I cannot and will not blame anyone else if this child goes the wrong direction, and if he chooses the right path, I will give all the glory and the praise to God. While others may forget to pray for him, I will pray for him every day. When others fail him, and they will, I will be there to encourage him, and help renew a right and spiritual perspective in his life. When he falls, I will be there to lift him up and get him back on the right path. When he has trouble seeing what the Lord is doing in his life, I will be there, to let him see Christ in me, with words of assurance that Jesus never fails, but always does things well. God allowed this child to begin his eternal existence in my family, in my care, and in my arms. Under my roof, he will find every reason to put his faith in the living Savior. He will be trained according to the principles of Scripture. Discipline will not be lacking, but love will be overflowing. And by God’s grace, in that hour when we gather on the other side, my child will be with me, as I fall at the feet of my Lord and enter into that Eternal Day.” (BFM)
